This is an odd association, but how the game works. 🙂 My parents live in Pinehurst, NC. My dad was stationed at Ft. Bragg when he was in the Army in 20s and always loved Pinehurst, so that is where they retired to.
Going along with the places parents lived, my in-laws cottage that they had for 50 years, was their permanent house for their last years. Many fun times with our families. Located on Seneca Lake, in NY.
When my in-laws decided the couldn't take care of the place any more, the sold it to my brother. His family wanted something more modern and up to date, so they torn down the old cottage and built this one. Post and Beam, really beautiful. Old cottage looked good from the out side, but was all home built add-ons over the years.
East side of our Cobblestone, here a description as it appears in Wikipedia: Barden Cobblestone Farmhouse is a historic home located at Benton in Yates County, New York. The farmhouse was built about 1843 and is an example of vernacular Greek Revival style, cobblestone domestic architecture. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, five-bay center-hall building. It is built of small, multi-colored field cobbles. Also on the property are two sheds, two wells, and a hitching post. The farmhouse is among the nine surviving cobblestone buildings in Yates County.[2]
Here is a black & white version of a color photo of the house I live in. I no longer have the RX-7, the turbo died in 2003 about a week before my wedding in another state and a trip to Costa Rica for the honeymoon.
