This is a fun thread, no doubt about it! (Even with the many, many images of cats! LOL!). Sometimes I see something and don't immediately recall if I've got an image which will slot nicely into the sequence, and other times I don't have the external drive with the archival images right at hand to plug in and and retrieve an older image that I recall, but even when I don't participate I enjoy looking at the images too!

Where those creatures live. The sea.
Well, actually, the Gulf of Mexico.

Don't forget that we always have:

/\ cat
\/ anything but cat

So, I just did a quick count. This game has been moving along very well for 19 weeks. I've posted somewhere between 275 - 300 images just to this thread. That works out to about 15 per week.
It's time to start digging deeper into the archives. (Getting out has been really hard between work, Mrs diver having a really bad hip, and me being immunocompromised.)

Hi everyone. My name is deep diver.

.
it has been fun indeed, and we're ok with you posting every photo at least 2 or 3 times LOL
compared to some of the other threads here that have gone way into the wild, let's keep it up here!
And I do love my cats, I shall conspire with @Captain Trips and @MDNT and @Livvie soon and flood you for a few pages 😺🙀 hehehe

And we shall feel free to "Mornington Crescent" , "Cat->Not Cat", "Absence of Cat" (or any equivalent ) any cat image if having to make a play off of cat toys, the floor they're on or the grass they're eating "before hairballs" becomes too tedious :D. The irony is that cats are one of my favorite animals.

Share some photos to prove it 😸😸 LOL
Just kidding … maybe not 🙀😜
Ha! We don't have cats at present so "no go" there. And when we did, I didn't take snaps of them, in general. Since they literally do the same exact things every day, why bother :)? They're fun to be around in real furry life, but otherwise...To me, it's not that different than looking at random snaps of people's kids. The kids are obviously important to the parents but "here's junior sitting on the ground, here's junior in grandma's lap, here's junior holding a ball, here's junior by the side of the house, here's junior with the Spanish Inquisition " does get repetitive. But you know what? That's just me. Bring on those cat pics dang it and we'll have a grand time here:D.

That said, I usually enjoy the crafted images of Digby The Cat that Apple Glen UK posts on POTD. I consider them to be portraits rather than snapshots. But that's my own personal thing. And when he does share images of his kids, they're nicely crafted too. Molly will also share nicely composed and rendered images of her kids. So I'm not a total Neanderthal .

I‘m impressed by how awesome your photos look, honestly. This one is astounding.
I cannot post any photos because the new rules demand that pictures have to be ours, taken by us, and I barely go out and take photos. Maybe when I get a better iPhone I will feel the joy of shooting photos again, like I used to do many years ago (90’s) with an old Nikkon (film, analog camera).

But I enjoy watching this thread!!

that rule has always been in place in this forum. it isn’t new. 🙂

On other thread I didn’t read that rule that it’s in the first page of this thread, but maybe I am mistaking it with another thread.

This thread started in March 2021 and the OP put this as an update to the rules in the first page:

Update - June 2021
A few simple ‘rules’ to help us all stay focused 😏

  • all work must be your own

Because I didn’t see this rule on another thread (many months ago) I didn’t know it was a rule of the whole forum. That’s why, after reading that update, I thought it was a new rule. If I had known this on the other thread I wouldn’t have posted, because like the mods and users who know me know, I always do my best to respect -and make respect- the rules of a forum.

Anyways, enough of this off-topic. Keep posting your awesome photos. By the way, mark me as a cat-pictures lover! @Captain Trips I love your cats, even if i don’t post here anymore, know that I love watching them.

EDIT: I just saw this post that explains that. I hadn’t read it until now!! So now I know.
