This is a rescued resident at a sanctuary. His name is Aldo.
At the Audubon Birds of Prey rehab sanctuary. While appears large, it was so small could perch on one's pointing finger.
This old fellow is resident at Wildlife West. nearby home.
Somewhere in my archives I have some photos of owls that I shot one year at Meadowlark Gardens when there was someone there from a Raptor organization and we were allowed to shoot photos of the owls and others.....haven't found those images yet, though!
And he looks so annoyed!!!
'Okay, hurry up and take your damn picture, I have more important things to do here... Are you done yet? What's taking so long?!?!'. I love wildlife, and kids. Wait, aren't kids wildlife? Hmm...
I see a (kind) raptor
There's no such thing.
I've got some very well fed wild rabbits running around here, and I caught a falcon trying to eat one. It was so heavy, that when I startled it, it couldn't get more than a few inches off the ground. But I'm sure it made a good meal for him, and his family. It was just shocking to think that we started the summer off with a whole new crew of over 5 little bunnies, and now all of them are gone, and most of the parents are too. The circle of life...
That is nature and the foodchain.
We can`t condemn the raptors for them doing what is required for them to survive. By the end of the day they are also part of the foodchain.
Lol.... you mean the guys with the coffee or the wee hairy one being carried?
