I get the idea of doing that, it's kitsch... But I had to stop going to a restaurant/bar I liked after they redecorated, and screwed perfectly good musical instruments to their walls. Pristine Strats, Les Pauls, and even a Rickenbacker, and parts of drum kits, and a bunch of bass guitars, and it was just a heinous slaughter of music, and music instruments. Tons of drum sticks, and picks, etc. I almost felt like I was at a crime scene. *sad* So I guess people can really over do it to horrific proportions.

That horn looks like it had a long life at least...

I recall going to a museum in Munich which had a rich variety of musical instruments set up silently behind glass. I ached to hear them play. I was delighted later at a museum in Belgium where they used near-field technology to meet that need: each was heard through headphones as you approached close to the object.

Way back when, I attempted to learn to play guitar.

I have an American Standard hard tail Strat in California Blue. Such an amazing looking guitar (maple fingerboard) that I think it could be hung up as art, but playing it seems to be a bridge too far. I had a bad instructor and it burned me out, sadly. I also have a Traveler guitar. One of these days...
