Curtiss Museum volunteers getting their replica of the first flying boat built by Glenn Curtiss. Plane was built from original drawings by the volunteers, 1914 V-8 engines are original! They tried to get it to fly, by the original engines didn't have enough power. They had two engines being rebuilt, but they weren't finished in time for this attempt. It did fly the following summer with the rebuilt, unfortunately I was away at the time, so a local photographer's picture is provided as proof. Paul Middlebrook, a friend and fellow Rotarian was the pilot.
