This looks the the bigger sibling to the one I posted a week or two ago.
It's the late Binghampton , ex Hudson River Ferry / floating nightclub / source of income for lawyers / derelict . The photo is from 2014 / In 2017 a giant floating crane appeared and...

off to recycling . I remember thinking that the guy operating the crane had , for those few days , quite possibly the best job in the world.

Never taken the tour but been around it a few times. My brave #2 son swam from Alcatraz to the shore next to the Golden Gate Bridge during an Iron Man Marathon. He also rented a sail boat and took us around the Island. Water may look calm but it was like sailing over a boiling pot of water. The confluence of tidal waters coming in with the flow of water trying to exit the bay made the water very turbulent and noisy!

Another type of boat, The America, first time in the water for a replica that was built by the Curtiss Museum from the original plans by Glenn Curtiss. The two engines were original engines, they had two more being rebuilt, but didn't make it in time for the maiden flight. Old engines didn't have enough power to get it off the water, it did make it after the rebuilt engines were installed. I have a picture of the flight, but it isn't my photo. A friend and fellow Rotarian was the pilot. Curtiss did far more for aviation than the Wright Bros. ever dreamed of.
