Returning to the airport from wing camera. First time I had flown a tail dragger. Now I understand why in the movies you see then zig-zagging as they taxi. It is to see around that big Rolls Royce engine blocking forward view when nose high as the tail wheel is on the ground.

It was a Christmas gift wife gave me. Technically, the pilot was in the back seat (gunner's in front) but because I was an inactive pilot (not current and let medical expire) he gave me control, pulling some stalls, dogfight positioning with other craft etc. Retuned control as he did some rolling loops and more advanced stuff. It was fun!

something funky going on with the forums ... I see posts, then I don't ... I upload a photo, it is gone, and it says I responded to a thread that I have not responded to ...

Same thing with me. Then when I tried to edit out the duplicate and respond to jz0309 right now, I got a "post cannot be found" message.
I'm glad it's not me.

If I log out I can see everything just fine. It is only when I'm logged in.

I know, and I tried to reply to @jz0309 and gave error message that post couldn't be found - when I am looking right at it. Same message when attempted to edit the shuttle photo to add "taken from 5 miles away". Plus note that thumbnail is being posted with the larger picture.

appears to be fixed, the whole forum was down for a while ... I can now see that my association #1016 was a very wide stretch to #1015 and not intended like that, so, here's a photo from 1996 with the better association ...
