Nice. Challenging dynamic range I’d imagine. This came from a "bonus canyon" right next to the Upper Antelope Canyon where all the tours were. The main canyon tour was quite busy and crowded. Thanks to the skill and experience of our guide along with cooperation with the other tour guides, we were able to get a few minutes of clear canyon for the shots I've shared so far.
For this bonus canyon there was only the tour group I was in, which was a total of 6 people including me plus the guide. We had about 20 minutes of free roaming inside this one. It wasn't as impressive as the main tour, but it did have some interesting elements to it as well. The main canyon didn't have any significant rocks on the floor where the bonus canyon had some, such as this one.

Where is this? Very pretty.

Ha. We flew out Monday, unfortunately. Cold and rainy when landed in SLC, and a dead car battery.Looks like you and I were in Clearwater at the same time (Monday/Tuesday). Yesterday was the Causeway leading there, today, the turtle beach shower, and tomorrow will probably be from the pier.
I’ve only ever been to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Next time I’m there maybe I’ll add a day of travelling or two.Valkenburg, Netherlands. Used to be a trashy tourist trap but has since enjoyed a remarkable renaissance.
Also people don’t understand you wanting to set up a tripod and take multiple shots with different settings. They just take a snap and think it’s done.Yes, it was. I had to meter for sky for a set of brackets and again for the darker areas for a second set of brackets and merge from both sets. Even after combining I had to do more work to make sure the sky wasn't blown out in the final image. Several of my "straight up" shots required that kind of editing. I didn't get a full range for all of them, either, so some still have a bright white sky when I couldn't.
The beach was never that empty the 9 days we were there.

Will do. No plans for awhile though. Normally I’ve been over for IBC, but I don’t think we are going this year.Send me a message and I'll show you around.
Weird. What caused it? That built in HDR mode? The beach was never that empty the 9 days we were there.

What do think of the ghosting effect of the bird?

I’m glad you said it was a tulip. I thought it was a poppy! When a shot with a Lensbaby Composer goes wrong, but looks strangely artistic?

That’s good to know. When I eventually get there I’ll be sure to ask for a recommendation! In the meantime I need to plan a trip out closer to home or I’ll have forgot how my camera settings work! That's why I paid for the photography tour instead of the site seeing tour. The photography tour strongly recommends a tripod because they know that's the best way to capture the canyon. The guide knew all about bracketing and gave us time to set up and do that, or at least as much as she could. When you only have 2 minutes to compose and shoot with a people-free area, you can't take much time to get fussy over the details in the moment.
One of the people in my group forgot her tripod, and she wasn't all that familiar with her camera, so the guide actually took that person's camera (with permission, of course) and took photos with it. The guide knew the settings to use, and, since she was intimately familiar with the area, knew what to shoot. She couldn't bracket, but she seemed to do a good job otherwise. I'd say that tourist got more than her money's worth on that trip. It also just happened that the tourist lives fairly nearby me, and I hope I can get her involved in my local photography club. We have programs to help folks learn their camera and photography that could help her.
My spelling isn’t great, but not quite there. U less you think it’s my eyes that have failed meHa ha, when I first read it I thought you said it was a puppy !

Dunno. It was an HDR photo.Weird. What caused it? That built in HDR mode?
That would be it then. The bird was moving fast, so it appears in the scene twice. The software took one out but didn’t do a perfect job and left an artefact.Dunno. It was an HDR photo.
I couldn't see it on my phone so didn't know what talking about the ghosting effect until at a large screen. That is interesting. I am assuming that was in-camera HDR and not able to handle the movement. At least with manual HDR, can typically mask during the processing. The beach was never that empty the 9 days we were there.
