It's a member of the Sandpiper family. Common on the shores around here in Florida.
Did some research and it seems to be a 'Greater Yellowlegs '

Well done, AFB!
I didnt think it was that easy!!!! Its just water though, not muddy water and its on a grey smoked glass top with light from the garden security light. I was quite taken by how it looked late at night and it looks quite good as my iphone screensaver.

LOL! Actually, yeah, come to think of it, this does rather look like a kitchen faucet! It isn't, though, but, yeah, the subject WAS out in the kitchen on the countertop (positioned near the window to get the natural light) and not all that far from the sink..... Actually, the shot was taken with my iPhone 11 Pro rather than my Sony A7R IV. Earlier in the day on Monday while waiting for the plumber to come to snake the drain I took a couple of shots of the residue left in the sink when the water backed up in it, and used the iPhone for that. While I was doing so I noticed this subject sitting nearby on the stove and thought, "hm...." and tucked that into the back of my mind for a future project. After the plumber had come-and-gone and after I'd cleaned up everything thoroughly, with things back to normal yesterday I then began experimenting with the subject and the iPhone. I was thinking I'd use the iPhone just to see what kind of interesting shots I could get and then I'd pull out the Sony, but instead decided that I liked what I'd gotten already and processed a few of them.

So what IS the subject, you wonder? It's my big pot that I use for spaghetti. I set it on top of a large round orange tray, to provide the orange base, then took shots from various angles, and this is a section of one of the handles, the part that is bolted on to the pot. :)

In post-processing I deepened the black of the pot for more intensity and contrast; the pot is more greyish-black than solid black. I was struck by how part of the handle picked up and reflected the orange color of the base and I liked the angle and shape of it, too, adding to the impact.

The only issue I have with food photography @uvafan1 is it makes me hungry! But completely agree with @mollyc post what photography you like!
Lovely tribute btw.
Thanks for your and Mollyc‘s kind words. Unfortunately, due to health concerns, I can’t get out like I used to but I try to stay engaged. that has a lot to due with my choices in combining the two hobbies.

So with all of this stay at home stuff we all have been enduring, I really haven't had a chance to really test drive and get use to my new Fujifilm XT3 camera. So I gave myself a project of taking pictures from my back yard of sunsets and sunrises daily for about a week using different lenses. Last night and then his morning these were taken with the Canon 70-200 f/4 with the Fringer Pro adaptor. These are the Highland Mountains, part of the Tobacco Root mountains. So named by William Clark of the Lewis & Clark Expedition because they reminded him of the tobacco roots of the plants of his native Virginia. ISO 160, f9, 120mm, 1/10 sec
