Another from Str. William M. Black. Places like this are rife with the potential for interesting(to me) photos-I'm just glad that my wife humored me by tolerating both my photo stops and my child-like excitement of everything there while we were walking through.

This is a work bench tucked into the corner of the engine room, over my shoulder and to the right of the photo I posted yesterday.

That's a beautiful shot of a bear. Wild or zoo bear?

Oh, we don't have wild bears around here where I live. It's a bit further up in the north. It's a open air museum (think it's the wolds next to largest open air museum) called Skansen here in Stockholm/Sweden. It's just a 10 minute boat ride away from the central parts of Stockholm.
I have an annual membership card, and due to lockdown (Covid) it was closed during the wintertime, but membership was automatically prolonged with 4 months. It's not expensive at all, approx. $35/y, but one time entrance fee is $16, so two visits and You're break even :)

Brings up fond memories. I visited Gran Canaria (Spain) a couple of years in a row, back when we all could travel around the globe, and the reception in the hotel where I was staying had two iMacs for hotel guests to use.
That was my first encounter with Apple hardware, and I believe it was back in 2016.
No, now I remember, I had an iPhone 3 in 2011 or 2012 as well. But not the whole "eco system" so I switched back to the "other side" until november last year :)

Still in the 2005 slide show. While I like this photo it failed to capture just how much the highway was slumping. That dip in the pavement was more than 50cm deep at its center. Olympus 3.2MP P&S camera.

Reminds me of a road I used to take to get to the house of a consultant I worked for. He lived in Palos Verde, CA. The road I took crossed an area that was sliding in to the Pacific ocean. Every time I went there the yellow lines on either side got further apart (left to right). The they would just add asphalt and repaint the lines!

Thank you, Allyance! Yeah, he was rude, wasn't he?! I took a look at his profile and noted that most of his posts are in fact in the threads about older, earlier Macs....so no surprise that he's still using Aperture. I'm not bothering to post anything further in his thread, though, just looking in on it. I doubt that he'll get the kind of answers that he apparently is seeking.

The Grand Central Apple store opened on December 9, 2011, just in time for the Christmas holidays..... So obviously that exif showing 2008 was incorrect. However, people who use P&S cameras (EXIF indicates that this was a Sony DSC W120 P&S camera) don't often pay much attention to keeping the date accurate on their device, especially if they don't use it frequently.

I got my degree in photo science at the best photography/graphics arts college in the country, but since I have been away from serious photography for some time, I have not used any highly technical photo software would not be able to answer his question anyway. I could talk with some degree of knowledge about the dLogE curve and Ansel Adams Zone System. I am fortune to have a photographic print by the University of New Mexico from one of his negatives. Keep posting the good stuff.:)

Was at a playground yesterday (no one else there) and took some pics of the kiddo. At one point my son decided that a piece of playground equipment was a spaceship. So I found myself underneath in the hull of the ship. Took this pic of the metal grating for a higher level of the equipment from below.
