I think our cats will curl up and sleep where ever and what ever has our scent on it. I will take off an old sweatshirt and throw it on the bed and I go back, and there is Bear curled up right in the middle of it.
Oh yeah. Sinclair loves sleeping on my clothes that have been worn and left on the bed.

there
Looks like a Juvenile Little Blue Heron in its White Phase..... Interesting! I've never seen one before.
thank you very much, i wish you could have seen this heron!
i was just stunned, this heron walked around pecked in the water, then flew off!
regrettably i did not capture the flight, i was trying to adjust a manual camera and in awe of this heron
last month i took photos of a more colorful juv heron which i posted some here in March POTD

I've seen plenty of Great Blue Herons and when I was down in Florida some years ago, was enchanted by the Egrets and the Roseate Spoonbills, fascinated by the Pelicans and delighted by the Woodstorks..... Florida is Mecca for people who love the various wading birds and other waterfowl!

I gently reminded our new participant @MacorNothing yesterday about posting photos only of our own work. She had labeled her POTD as taken by her sister, which goes against our thread rules. She reached out to me via private message and let me know that she is a tetraplegic and is unable to take many photos of her own, and those that she does take she has help with.

Given her circumstances, I think an exception could be made for her and that she could post photos taken by immediate family (and of course any that she took/takes on his own with help). She has asked that I post this question to the group as English is not her first language and that she has difficulty typing in general, but she would very much like to participate in our threads.

Does anyone have any objection for this for MacorNothing specifically?
No objection at all to an exception for @MacorNothing . Please keep those images coming! They are wonderful.

ONE photo post per day here, please...... You'd already posted a red tulip earlier today.

In the US this bird is called a Great Blue Heron. Actually, I think the name Grey Heron is really more suited and appropriate!
Yes, the species in Europe is the Grey Heron. The different species here in the US is the Great Blue Heron, your Alfred :).

I'll sneak one more cat picture in. This MamaDoo, our original cat from California. We had 6 cats in CA, had them shipped as excess baggage to NY. We kept several of her offspring, one being Gus, our longtime Maine Coon.
Can't remember exactly how old she was, but was the matriarch of the clan. She developed cancer of the lymph nodes, we knew we had to put her to sleep, so I made a spot for her in our pet cemetery. Here she is watching me dig her spot. Just off the bottom right corner. ?
