Two days ago you posted an outstanding photo of a military extraction operation.
Another Anna's hummingbird from my yard, this time of year their colors are really stark.
Their beautiful colors depend by the light refraction on their iridescent feathers and if they are adult male. I saw these colors even with the snow in the winter.

So did that big solar flare we just had improve your chances of getting some good shows?
Yes, I took around 200 photos that night, but I have taken a lot more within a week after the big flare. However, the chances for very dark nights are disappearing now. It is starting to get dark near midnight (from about midnight to 3:00 AM or less).
