🌴⛓️ Lone Cypress, The Saga Continues… 🌴⛓️
Located in 17-Mile Drive, Monterey, Pebble Beach, California.
Here is a close-up shot. Recent storms knocked down an entire section of the iconic tree. The Lone Cypress lost its left limb during an extremely powerful storm in 2019. If you look closely you can see an attached cable holding down the tree. The separated tree branch has been left on the shoreline. The tree itself is very healthy. It is said to live for at least another 100+ years.

No, the waves in the water are different. It's just a popular subject, and I suppose it's ideal to stand on that spot.Isn't this a stock image available on Alamy? I've seen an image there that I would swear is exactly the same:

Back in the 80's I designed and installed all the sound systems at The Links at Spanish Bay, and frequented that spot often. I wish I had an iPhone then. I have a poorly done B&W photo on my bedroom wall, they did a poor job of printing trying to burn it over exposed areas.🌴⛓️ Lone Cypress, The Saga Continues… 🌴⛓️

I think I also have the exact same photo. If I remember right space is limited for viewing the tree so everyone has the same photo. Also the weather in the area is usually always overcast. So again all the photo look the same.Isn't this a stock image available on Alamy? I've seen an image there that I would swear is exactly the same:

I have a photo from the top of Diamond Head in Hawaii that I have seen over and over again. There are only so many places to stand in spots like that, so the only thing that differs is a slight framing (focal length) change or post processingI think I also have the exact same photo. @Clix Pix There is plenty of space to stand around there. I took well over 50+ images of the tree using different angles. There are plenty of places around and the tree can be seen from different angles, views, and focal points. That Albany picture you shared shows there is a lot of seaweed across the sea. The photo I posted doesn’t have any of that. The ocean can be seen as clear water.I think I also have the exact same photo. Yes, it's normal to have lots of photos of landmarks or other popular subjects taken by different people that look almost identical. Even photos of the Auroras taken by two photographers who may be next to each other can look similar. No, the waves in the water are different.
