From Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge outside of Boulder, Colorado, 3-image stitch. Overcast day.
The male northern cardinal stands out just a bit more in the same thicket, even with his tuft slicked back. This may be the mate of yesterday’s female, but there were a few males and females in the same thicket. Both birds were shot using Velvia “film,” which really makes them pop out.
That is beautiful! The Cardinal is our state bird here in NC. I am originally from (upstate)Binghamton, NY and we had Cardinals there also. Lot's of Blue Jays too. Unfortunately I have not seen one Blue Jay in the 21 years we have been in NC.

There are 180 episodes in Seinfeld. I'm working my way through the NetFlix Seinfeld episodes and now on series 6, episode 8. I think I saw them all when they were on NBC's Thursday night comedies over 20 years ago. Today they still seem "fresh". I recommend the "Friendly Streaming" app for almost all the streamers (HBO, Apple, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc, etc, etc.). A great feature of Friendly Streaming is it keeps track of the steaming channels (last to first) so you can quickly select the next episode of a series.
