My favorite place to be in this world. I can stay here all day and stare at this famous bridge and will not get bored. It's just magical.

So you were all on the right track so as a generous person you all get gold stars! Here it is:

@someoldguy was right about the prize water (Vichy mineral water) and @squawk7000 was right on track - Claude Rains playing the collaborationist French police officer in Casablanca (Bogart's line to Bergman "Here's Looking at you kid") dumped the bottle symbol of the collaborationist regime headed by Marechal Petain (in the pic above) and went off with Bogart to join the Free French. Great film. The first photo was of the Vichy "milice" who fought against the various French resistance movements (Free French, Communist etc.). There was also were books by Mussolini and one by Goering but the pics didn't come out so well and frankly don't want to fill this wonderful thread with dark moments of our history that are coming back to haunt us again and again...

i've largely given up adding my quotes to my posts here, but i included it today because it was actually the inspiration for this photo. i don't often have roses, but i won this bouquet in an instant win ticket on yogurt of all things!
