Was all set up to catch the fly in with the morning catch, but missed it. Was looking up for an approaching osprey coming in for a landing, and this one came in low with a headless fish. Apparently, consumed at a perch before returning to the nest and the perch allowed a low approach. Probably would not have been that dynamic a photo vs descending to the nest. I did notice that the mother fed herself first before feeding the hatchlings.
Better luck next year. At least both were facing the sun, as prior years their back was to the sun.
