On my weekly Sunday morning nature walk at Kensington Metro Park, I was hoping to photograph a Pileated Woodpecker again. However, I was unexpectedly treated to the sight of a Red-tailed Hawk perched unusually close to the ground. Typically, I've only seen them high up in the trees, so this was a delightful surprise deep along the nature trails.
