Sure doesn't look like a weed...beautiful shot John. Great colour combination and it looks like your lighting was spot-on.

You should see the lighting rig I carry around with me! Take one doofus and get them to lean right over whatever you want a shot of, so there's no direct light on it. Doofus=Camera Operator in this case! ;)

Mine for today was taken on the road to Cape St. George, Newfoundland.

Beautiful water colour here Peter, just like up on the Great Barrier Reef! I love the arch of the cloud above at a diagonal to the land. You're making me want to go travelling again... Ooohhh, to be back in tropical waters once more.

My first photo in a while - been a bit busy of late with my new job (no longer going to University).

Here is a photo taken only a couple of days ago in Killarney, Ireland. I had my lowly 400D with me, and my 24-105mm L - I was surprised, given the difficult lighting conditions, how it came out.

I will be posting over the next couple of weeks more photos from my trip. I'm off now to the Trafford Centre to buy myself a Canon 6D with my first pay check!

All the best, Adam Turner.

Nice. The joy of the first pay check. That takes me back.....

Another one from my garden I shot yesterday. Been experimenting on composition and viewpoint etc since I've been reading Learning to think creatively, by Bryan Peterson (which I recommend to anybody wanting to learn more about their craft).
I have a load I shot in Wales today, but I've just got back and they need tweaking a little.

To be honest I would not of thought of this overhead shot. I like the way it appears to float above the grass.

Critique always appreciated!

One pic, sir, one...

But if you're going to make it one pic, Make it number 7- Sunset over the Dominican Republic, because it's a beautiful shot!
