Furry Marmet? The ones we saw along side of the road were very friendly.

That's an Arctic ground squirrel pup. I took several photos of an entire family (3 pups and 2 adults) about three years ago. They were very friendly, specially the little ones.

The marmots are indeed friendly enough for one to get close, and are much larger than the arctic ground squirrels. I have a few photos of marmots, too.

It is, believe me. I was chuffed to visit it the first time after coming here having head that song so many times. Sadly not been to the Montreux Jazz festival for a few years now though apparently it was a success this year.

I haven't seen one yet this year around here. I haven't seen a bat either. There was a maniac that was caught poisoning squirrels a few years ago around here. I live in fear of the concentrated stupidity in some of the suburbs around where I live. It's just so disturbing how much of that is happening around the country, and the world. So sad...

She'd be wrong , the mosquito's would eat her ... the spiders would just get the leftovers .

Oh gawd no!!! Once, in Puerto Rico, she did nothing but complain about the 'mosqueetoes', and made the trip such a joy and delight.
