Iris plant under the rain of August. Temperature has dropped to 37 degrees F. (2.77778 C) for a couple of nights in the interior of Alaska, but warms during the day (snow at the 2,000 to 3,000-foot elevations). Warming some by tomorrow:
For the past few months I've been playing with light painting, needless to say, I've pretty much jumped head first down this rabbit hole!
This is a single long exposure photo, lit by hand with no editing apart from slight levels and adjustments in LightRoom. I've been finding this so addictive too.
This is what a Marmot looks like. I took this photo a few years ago at my workplace. The Marmot was living under the crawl space of a large building, and would come out to enjoy the sunlight by the front steps and handicap ramp. While skittish, one can approach them to perhaps 50-70 feet of distance:

This was shot at 2X magnification with the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X Macro lens, fruiting moss...notice the tiny Springtail on the stem. I did not notice it until I opened on the computer.
