Wow. I need to borrow your barrel. Nice shot.

I know right!?!?! great pictures !

So I had a few hours wandering in Amsterdam on Thursday. Freezing cold, in the rain, just wandering....

No I didnt partake in either of the things Amsterdam is now associated with... but I did explore the area and see the sights. I thought I was well travelled and world wise... after Thursday, I apparently still have much to learn... :)

Looks posh. Our hotel had an hourly rate! ;)

Nah mate, standard business hotel layout. I was supposed to be in the Hilton nearer the airport but at 400 euros for one night, i binned that and went for a cheaper option that worked out to be in a spot on location for some night time canal shots... Now I have my bearings a bit, i will be prepared next time....

...and Tesla taxis! Superb!

I used the metro to get around. It's pretty easy. We stayed near the football stadium so on the edge of town, but as I say getting around was easy.
If your next trip is in September I'll see you there (probably!).

Scraping the barrel for something new at the moment. A colour long exposure (10-stop ND) from my last London trip. Personally I prefer the more dramatic mono sky but I prefer the almost surreal look that colour brings to the buildings. Comments always appreciated.

I love it. I think the colour works really well.

One block of 34th Street here in Baltimore has nearly every house decorated for Christmas (there was one holdout this year). The street is blocked off from Thanksgiving (late November) until New Years and people come out to view the houses. A few of the houses are open to go in to look at the decorations inside. And yes, cornily enough, it is called "The Miracle on 34th Street". This is a long explanation to say expect me to post a few pictures in this forum from my recent visit.
