was this taken in the wild? or in a nature park? Probably a bit too close for me in the wild, they can move a lot faster than I canView attachment 1928813Large adult alligator sunning itself.
It’s likely the mother, as there were several babies around.
In a preserve. So, wild in some respects. She was far enough away, off the trail. I know better than to get too close !was this taken in the wild? or in a nature park? Probably a bit too close for me in the wild, they can move a lot faster than I can

'That' statue in Glasgow
Since it's pantomime season : "He's behind you"

To add to kenoh's description, I was a student in Glasgow in the mid 1970's we were adorning the statue with traffic cones then. As said the council have given up and have even adopted images of the statue in advertising and promotional material. This statue is hilarious. Perfect example of the Glasgow sense of humour. For years this guy has been wearing various traffic cones, scarves, football tops, anything that cheeky weegies can get on there. I think the council have finally given in trying to stop it as anytime the embelishments are removed, they are put back as soon as the council remove them.
There is something really quite mesmerising about this image.
Another beautiful instrument made obsolete by the smartphone.Probably the finished version of dad's Brunton Pocket Transit. Blurred the background and added a drop shadow.
