Tromso. Although that shot is about 2 hours drive away from the city on an island.
oh wow. Are you living there? I thought you lived in the UK?
I envy you. Northern scandinavia is beautiful. Although I haven't visited Tromso.

Yep I live in London.

Just came over for a few days after a long and stressful end of the year at work. This is just me time.

Will post more pictures with one each day rule in this thread.

;) I understand. We get in my truck and go on long drives along two camera bags full of gear, plus two tripods, mostly during the summer. During the winter nights I don't drive very far from our house, and usually do so alone to take photos of the Auroras. But since she's having more fun taking photos with her iPhone 11 these days, I decided to give her an iPhone 13 Pro so she can get better use of the 3 cameras. I top-charge the 2 Olympus camera batteries now and then, but she hasn't used the camera for about a year now. I don't sell it because she likes to hold on to the cameras she has owned through the years.

I get that. I had a Canon Sureshot ELPH APS film camera that I had been around the world with. It took great shots, and was always up for the ride. It acquired a few dings and the popup flash wasn't closing all the way, but I remember all of the amazing trips I/we had experienced, and just couldn't get rid of it. Until I found out I couldn't get film for it any longer. I was so depressed... I ended up taking it apart, and saved the lens assembly. We had seen so much of the world together, it seemed like I was gouging my own eye out to toss it. I was completely blown away with the intricacy of its construction. Really impressed. But I have 'my eye' left, and the many memories and photos. I'm using the leather case for a project, sewing it into a travel pouch for my collection of chargers and cables. It sounds silly to be attached to something like that, but the traveling we did was so amazing, and gave me a rich trove of memories that I wish I could dump unto a flash drive to save for the rest of my life. Yeah, I get it, a think... I'm grieving that travel doesn't look to be in my future for a while. I had plans to go to the Orient last spring, smashed on the rocks of the pandemic. In the end, all we have are the memories.
