Tanagra (not really)
My pet project, a 2010 Mac Pro. I always liked the cMP design and couldn’t afford one back in the day. What a difference 12 years makes, as I found one in pretty good shape on eBay for $180. Upgraded it to the fastest CPU available, the X5690 6-core, for $45. Added 24GB RAM for $20, and scored an RX 480 8GB for $90 (now that the mining boom has busted). I already had a PCIe adapter and 512GB NVMe drive for fast disk access. With OpenCore, I’m able to run up to Monterey on it, and can boot to Windows for the occasional game. I think it’s the PC equivalent of buying an old car and getting it ready for the road again. Old? Yes, but with those mods, it is more than enough for my needs.

Don’t worry, he’s not dead.

He’s enjoying a nice scritch.

My conure was like any parrot species: loving and affectionate with some people, quite dangerous to others. I was fortunately one of the former as was my daughter. My wife…not so much.

One of our bonding things was for me to very gently rub his newly-grown feathers between my thumb and forefinger to release them from their brittle sheaths. It’s something that would happen anyway, but it’s uncomfortable for them to just wait it out. In the wild, a trusted flock mate would do it for them. That he let me do it was an indication of his trust in me.
Norwegian blue?

I love that machine! Got the G5 when it came out in 2003, got the upgrade in 2005, and my last MP in 2010. Retired it this year....by getting a Mini(!) Even the 30" ACD is still working, but upgraded that as well since these 4k panels are relatively cheap now.

But the versatility of the MP is so great, hence you using it. Enjoy it, since it's still a darn fast machine!
