Oh yes, put his nose at the bottom of the frame - that looks good! Thanks for your comments; all this helps me to learn and develop (no pun intended you dads out there ;) )

Won't be long...and I may go back to reshoot this with the X-T2. It has a much better dynamic range than the 100D that took this as well as a far better lens. Looking forward to it.

Very nice. Despite many efforts I've never gotten a good bluebell shot I'm happy with.

3rds, fifths, sevenths....you often find that the most visually pleasing things are in odd-number arrangements - look at car alloy wheels for example but obviously symmetry can also be attractive in the right circumstances. The higher the number, the less the difference between 'good' and 'bad'. Whatever 'rule' you are using, take with a pinch of salt and go for what looks best for you and the particular subject.

Agreed, and using the rule of twoths (2ths?) is probably the worst looking in most situations.
