Haven't I seen this before? Moody
Maybe I have shared it before. At this point I can't remember what I have and haven't shared here.

Looks like you did a good job to me. How did you get the focus right if you were the subject?Looking for a bit of critique on this shot from the likes of The Bad Guy.
At work they're putting together an organisational chart with the manager's photos on it and asked me for a colour photo of myself to go on it. All of the other managers have gone for selfies from camera phones under harsh fluorescent lighting and I wanted mine to actually look a bit professional so this evening at home I've quickly set up my lightbox, a reflector and a black backdrop and stuck the X100T on a tripod in front of me.
Ignoring the horrific subject matter anyone have any thoughts or pointers (apart from "Find a better model")?

Anyway I'd be happy with the result of the picture. As for the model, I'd rather shoot some of the @The Bad Guy's models!
Are you leaning to the right or is my head tilted again?Looking for a bit of critique on this shot from the likes of The Bad Guy.

That's great critique and exactly what I was after so thanks for that. I don't give a monkeys about the tech side - definitely.mote interested in "the shot".Sure, I'll give you my opinion on this one. Not sure you're going to like it though, as my 'critique' won't be based on tech and I know how you guys love your tech talk.
Lighting is fine. It's flat and unexciting but also flattering to the subject and has given you nice catchlights. So that's a win. Could maybe be brought down a 1/4 of a stop but that could be the monitor I'm looking at it on. Mission accomplished there. Well done.
Obviously the camera settings are good. Your eyes are in focus and there's a good amount of detail. Looks nice and crisp.
What let's it down? Composition. There's too much headroom and you look to be sloping to your right slightly. A little rotation in Lightroom or whatever will negate those issues. What software can't fix is the angle. Camera's too low and looks to be shooting up at you. Don't get me wrong you've got a nice neck and all, but I'd personally prefer a jawline.
The real killer on this one is your expression. You look scared ********. Which I can understand, it's different on the other end of the camera. It may not be an issue, others may not notice it, but it's the first thing I saw. Hope that helped.

You're spot on with it being on the wonk. Need to straighten that out. I think I was leaning slightly.
Good tip on the headroom. I didn't want to crop in because I thought a corporate style shot should show all of me. I probably should have actually done some.research beforehand I guess
Good call on the angle as well. I just set the camera up at eye level and didn't think about the angle. Something to remember for next time.
As far as the expression goes - that's just what I look like when I go for "approachable" I'm afraid. That's actually a reasonably flattering shot of me because apparently I have an unapproachable scowl usually. You can't fight nature
Thanks for the feedback fella. Very much appreciated and exactly what I was looking for

Another mediocre shot from my trip with friends at the weekend.
