Another take on the kettle. Kept the flash from the left outside and in front of the frame to highlight the steam and added a flash behind the camera to the left to pull up the light in the reflection in the back corner off the kettle.

Really like the juxtaposition of old and new there. Beautiful.

Nice, bringing out the big guns from the archive now!

Lovely muted colours.
No, no, no.....

Took a cheeky dodge into Glasgow Uni and got a shot of the lights on the Cloisters.

Lovely picture of a lovely place. It's nice when you find something like this empty, but I'm a little disturbed about the lack of fire regulations being followed. Surely there should be a fire extinguisher in there somewhere?

Another (daytime) detail shot of the Cleveland Clinic Las Vegas. Comments always appreciated. I looked through the window and there was a fire extinguisher inside...Just had the bridge photo from yesterday and another of the Strip Explored on Flickr - two in one day whatever that means...

So how come head doctors thought it was a good idea to build a building that messes with your head when you look at it?

Ha ha ha... been lurking.... waiting to strike...

Mate I haven't got the skills with PS to put a post published fire retardation system in there... !

I was in there literally 5 minutes before the warden was kicking folks out. There was one guy and his little girl in there but 20-30 shots yielded a winner where they were both hidden behind the pillars at the same time... score!

Oh my word that is gorgeous!

Teach me Obi-wan...!

Thanks! It was shot at 90mm which is roughly 135mm FF equivalent. Nothing fancy technique wise other than getting the right angle on some slippy and sparse stones at the waters edge and overexposing slightly. As for PP, apart from a cool wb applied to create the mood, it's remarkably similar to the RAW. I have an even dreamier version from a steeper angle that I'll post another day, but it looks so surreal that my wife even questioned if it was a photo :/
