There's a UV light involved , but what fluorescing liquid? and being dropped into what?

After doing a Google and learning a little about this, it seems that liquids like tonic water and lemon juice light up under blacklight, and of course UV paints..... Also apparently some kinds of oils, such as olive oil and canola oil, light up as well. You can even buy glowing Slime..... Sounds as though this could be really, really a fun project!

I learned that UV lights are useful, too, for those who have pets who want to find the sites of dried "accidents"......

You give me too much credit for having such resources at my disposal. I’m Scottish remember ? so if I can do it with no additional expense then that’s the way for me. I’ll give a rundown when I get the competition judging done.

Another possibility is using smoke and photographing that with colored gels on the flash head..... Or using a lightsaber and doing "light painting" with that at night.

Thanks but it’s not from a model set. It’s a real life bench at a nearby college. If you’d like I can message you the unedited photo if you’re still not convinced.
I believe you. Maybe it is the angle or maybe just me :) The climate sure is strange these days. You have snow in North Carolina and we have not had any all winter here in the south of Finland.

I agree. This is actually the first snow we’ve had all year so I had to get some good photos of it. I’ve got a few more I’ll likely be posting throughout the rest of the week.
