Thanks!! The photo was taken on the trail just below the observation spot.

As for hotels, I'm staying in Beatty, Nevada. A bit of a drive, but the hotels in the Park are way too highly priced for me.

This time I was able to get out on the deck with the right camera and lens in hand.... Got in a few shots before she flew off. A female Hooded Merganser was swimming towards the pier, and the Kingfisher wanted to keep her prize so away she went.

Sad day when she needed the "Help Em Up Harness", but happy that I was able to use it to get her upstairs to sleep on her bed beside me until the end. It also made it easy to get her in and out of the car. This harness is a great aid for anyone with a dog that has mobility issues.

Time flies with pets and they don't live long enough. Here she is as a puppy. It seems like yesterday.
