Went to Trader Joe's yesterday, and this huge old Oak tree in the parking lot caught my eye.

This was probably taken in 1972 in or near Calgary. I suspect it was a bit west of what was then the ring road and north of the Elbow river (Twin Bridges area?). The Midnapore area is also a slight possiblity but much less likely. No doubt bulldozed when that area was developed.
Ilford Pan-F 35mm film somewhat cropped. Stereo image as well.

View attachment 2165191 today my family and I to go walk near the river side. As I was walking I found this abandoned car that was adjacent to a farm and the foliage had overgrown it. Quite interesting. This is a location in Japan
In 1990 we moved from CA to the Finger Lakes in NY. We had bought a 1843 cobblestone farm house on 4 1/2 acres. The original farm had 200 acres, the original family that had built and owned the property since the early 1800’s had managers who ran the dairy farm. We found many spots where they dumped trash and old vehicles. We found debris just outside the back door! It was common in those days to just abandon old equipment on a remote site on the property.

Man I haven't seen a stereo in a LONG time. Too awesome!

Is it? I always thought was the Olympus, my apologies
But landing in Vancouver it's the Olympus : how do you know it's one and not the other?

I've been on top of it a couple of dozen times by eight different routes, done the entirety of the Wonderland Trail around it (92 miles) twice, and ridden the RAMROD (Ride Around Mt. Rainier in One Day) five times. And I see it daily. It is in the Cascades, Mt. Olympus is in the Olympics to the West and much smaller (7979' vs. 14,411). I love Rainier, one of my very favorite places.
