Guess what they call this one :p

Putting Green from Hell??

Keep cool. I hear it's a tad on the hot and smoky side down there.

Really not sure whether I like this one or not. Comments always appreciated.

I like this. The colours seem vibrant but faded at the same time. Not sure how you've done that but it works nicely. Have you thought of doing a long exposure at this place? I think if you stopped down and reduced your ISO you could get to around 1/3 s, but that leads on to the next question of whether you have a tripod, or at perhaps a sturdy rock to place your camera on :)

I really like this as well, but for the love of dog I can't figure out what it is. Any clues?

Took this while wandering in the park before Christmas... I think it is reasonably mediocre...

Don't be so hard on yourself; that's our job... :p

Derwentwater and Blencathra...

Sorry... :)

Nice picture. Much more picturesque than Rouken Glen Park. Beautiful colours in the hills there. You take some gorgeous landscapes sir!

Cheers Apple :)

Haha funny! :D It's called horse head rock.

We're thankfully all good here thanks :)

So I really like this picture for the action and dynamics in it but something about the rusty colour on the right is distracting me. Nice shot though.

I like it. It makes me feel cold and wet. This is what a proper walk in the wilderness looks like in the UK! If I was going to be critical, which apparently I am because I wrote that... I would maybe have gone with less sky, more foreground, just to lift the pool to be more central a little - Maybe... but remember I am a rank amateur so know nothing.

Been doing a bit of hard drive decluttering.

Found this shot from an age ago that I never processed.

Spent two mins with some of my presets and bang, it feels new again!

As always, comments appreciated!

Thanks! It was just a case of dropping down the highlights and bumping up the contrast. The whole place was absolutely waterlogged, so I wanted to get across that saturated look.

As soon as I got up there I wished I had brought my tripod with me, but the dog was running all over the shop and I was trying to get as much in before it got dark. Maybe next time.

Nice shot and enjoy that lovely new Fuji. His younger brother the X100T says hi with a shot of his older brother the XE1.

I had a quick play around with a couple of cheap LED clusters that I bought off of Amazon with my Xmas vouchers. They came today and I had a spare ten minutes earlier to play around with them. I'm going to like them a lot I think.

Unusual to have the model looking out of the frame given she is on the far right. However I like it.

I always think of the king's speech when people mention this. Incidentally I've actually been in the room where this was shot!

They certainly are. I've never seen the King's speech. Not much of a Royalist I'm afraid!

Watch it for all the other parts! Don't worry about the relevance of the story! Just look at it as a guy that gets over his problems. Simple!

P.s. maybe it's my retina screen playing tricks on my but is the focus on the stem rather than the tip?

Not on my screen (but I am on an iPhone!). It wasn't the sharpest of shots. I didn't take my tripod.

Thanks for the feedback! I did try less sky and more water but I found it shimmied the tree too far up in the frame, making the picture (imho) look unbalanced. I found the waterfall and tree on 1/3 and 2/3 up to work about as well as I could get it to. It's a shame the sky was so dull that day to be honest.

It's been a while since I posted a photo. End of year craziness at work to blame. I got to visit with all of my daughters and grandkids over the holidays and here's a snow sledding outing picture with one of my daughters and my 2 year old grandson.
