That totally makes sense as it was in the Milton Keynes shopping centre as part of an exhibition celebrating MK being 50 years old.As the car was built in the 70s and the new wings came out in 72, I am guessing maybe it is a 50th anniversary badge???? The blue circle looks like the original logo and the new wings came out around that time.... Would be my guess
