Last day of the month, so sneaking in a cat pic ;)

Have been testing out a new lens this morning and felt like sharing this pic.

I do like the inner harbor area ... here's one from 2012, one evening just after a storm, the light was amazing.

[doublepost=1485902077][/doublepost]Against the rules ... but it's the last day of the month so, here's another:

You know, I like both photos but why do you think you can ignore the rules regarding one photo post per day Just because "it's the last day of the month"? Are you special? Why not just post one today and one tomorrow?

Well, he probably took the lead from me, I took the liberty to post 2 yesterday ... I think there's been 3 of us this month that exceeded and I think that's pretty damn good crowd control for 31 pages of photos and comments.

I know my Galloway Hills ;)

I live around 25 miles from where your photo was taken. A lot of my photography features from this particular part of the country. D&G is a fantastic, underrated part of Scotland.

Yes, it is beautiful. And fortunately underrated. Less crowds. We must visit it again some day.

Yeah I agree. I mentioned the same thing (post #728 & #731 on the previous page) about being up in the Galloway Hills with my camera.

Love that lighting. Beautiful location.

Fantastic image with a striking composition. The bit of land that juts out to in the foreground breaks up the diagonals and helps to bring your eye to the brightest part of the image. The graduated dark transition from the foreground and from the clouds at the top help to frame the image and create a great balance.

Oh wow! that is beautiful. Lovely colours and superb detail. Man, this one scores high on the "wish I could take that " scale!

Thanks all. Made more by luck that design. All I remember about taking it is scrabbling around in my bag for a long lens praying the light wouldn't move on before I could set up and take the shot!

Careful... News will spread. There is at least one Weegie gagging to come down there and trample the grass and poke holes in the ground with my tripod... :) it's ok though, I am not a full blood Weegie... Only a half blood..

Right place, right time, almost wrong lens by the sound of it... but you pulled it off nicely...
Man I wish I could take an image like that!

I want to. Been looking at the map posted and thinking I could get approval from my wife for a day trip down there. I think it is only an hour or so from home so no excuse really...

You're so lucky to live close to beautiful scenery. We have to take a ferry or plane to get there.
Please share some of your photos when you go there.

If you want, we can write a note to Mrs. Kenoh to promise that you'll behave.

LOL... it is more about finding time than behaving. We have 2 daughters and so between school, careers, the girls then have dance classes, swimming classes, art classes, gymnastics and Brownies... not much time left for luxuries like a day away taking pictures. :-(

Will work on it... promise...

Things will lighten up.

Eventually they learn swimming and go to their school/music/sports classes on their own.
And for careers... I chose not to have one. So pleeeeeeeenty of time :)

Bring your walking boots and waterproofs. Leg gaiters are a good shout too, the Galloway Hills are boggy and wet in a lot of places. If you need any further tips on where to shoot etc, give me a shout :)

Here's a wider map that might help.
