Three days in to the new year and I've taken one photo...don't even feel bad about it either.
Look at that. Only day one of 2019 and I've already used my camera!
Had a bit of time to do some product shots in the house today. There will be a few of these over the week. After trying some different set ups, this is the one we finished with. View attachment 813514

Took a drive to the Moffat hills in "the Borders" to see one of the multiple Scottish waterfalls called Grey Mares tail on New Years Day. Great walk up to the top and back down. Two moany girls and a wife hill walking in Uggs... superb.
The fish, not so much! Nice shot.View attachment 813849
Little seagull -- and I, got lucky today: me for getting the shot, and the seagull for securing breakfast
That looks like a fun drive! Now go take some pictures of it on the beach!
Agree!Picture of a juvenile Cooper's Hawk I took from my back porch.

Turns out keeping the bird feeder stocked brings added benefits...
Brushed stainless? I’m thinking part of a kettle?
Don’t use a kettle? How do you make the tea?Nope -- I don't even use a kettle except once in a very blue moon! . This IS a utilitarian item, though......

Part of a knife?
Is it a close up of a fork?Hee, hee, I've started a guessing game!!! Hm, maybe I'll let people guess for a little while..... Actually, this is just one small part of the object, shot with the iPhone, which I have found makes a dandy little camera for shooting macro!
Part of a laptop stand? Not a kitchen nor gardening utensil at all..... In the past, though, I have done forks -- they're fun to photograph! A hint: I was sitting at my computer workstation waiting for the external drive to finish copying something from Finder and my eye fell upon this object. I thought, "hm......" and picked up the nearby iPhone to experiment.
I give in.No, but hey, you've given me a great idea for another time.....!! I'll take the MBP off the stand and play with that one of these days, too.
