Yes, they are beautiful!Yes. Japanese Magnolia. We had two of them in our yard at our previous house. They were absolutely beautiful and I miss them.
If you don't mind me asking, why can't you have these in your current yard?🙂

We could, but we inherited different landscaping in our current yard, and not enough room for new trees. We had Japanese Maples, Japanese Magnolias, Apple trees, and Pear trees at our previous house, and I miss them all greatly.😌Yes, they are beautiful!

As a Swede i reconagize the Saab immediately! Its a late 1970s❤️So wound up the color 4x5 scans yesterday. The last few batches were from Oregon in 1980 or 1981. This shot I believe was taken in downtown Portland.

Maybe it was little of a nisch product in the States at that time?I owned a Saab here in the States back in the 80's. Great car when it was running well but horrendously expensive with repairs and the number of mechanics who worked on them was extremely limited.
Nice, fits my mood on a Monday. Eh...the gloomy weather is constant, every other day!View attachment 2146858
meanwhile, in Boston...
I've always heard these called Tulip Magnolias..... They are my favorite flowers in the early Spring, right along with Daffodils. They're just so exquisite and they have a delightful scent. Unfortunately they're rather delicate, too, and some years bad weather has wreaked havoc with the trees.Yes. Japanese Magnolia. We had two of them in our yard at our previous house. A beautiful, beautiful area.... Haven't been down there in years now but I miss it.A shot of the Blue Ridge Mountains from Grandfather Mountain in western NC.
