Today's shot is a mystery. Three possibilities from most to least likely. There is a hike running from Emerald Lake, BC to Takakkaw Falls over a couple of passes. Or the Dolomite Pass hike north of Johnson Canyon in Banff National Park. Least likely would be somewhere in Glacier National Park. I do know it was 1975 as there were numerous loading and processing flaws that I had to clean-up, and it was from a batch of expired Ilfprd FP-4 film I had been given. As time went by I did get much better at preventing dust and processing streaks.
Schneider 127mm Xenar Press lens.
EDIT: The shale beds on the left at the back of the foreground area, place this close to the Burgess Shale fossil quarries. So this was definitely Burgess Pass on the Yoho hike.
It poured rain most of the day yesterday. There was a pair of Hooded Mergansers out there on the lake swimming around in it, and this one was singing "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head...."
I’ve been back at work in Bristol today and it was the first time it’s been dry enough for me to venture far enough from the office to make it worth taking some photos.
Haha, no. English ivy (Hedera helix). Normally you can’t see the actual stems and tendrils because the species is evergreen—unless you cut it off at the base of the tree it’s growing on. It was overtaking a redbud in our backyard when we bought the property. I’ve been fighting vines ever since due to the previous owner’s neglect of the landscaping!
