Thanks. He posed for a while. Decided to get my close up rings out of the bag, by the time I did that he was gone.
I was still pretty happy with what I got though.

I try to get as close as I can to people on the street, which is difficult carrying 'round a full frame DSLR. This guy didn't seem to care though...might have something to do with being passed out after drinking too much boxed wine.
Sidenote: that girl busker was very talented. Here she is again from the other side.

I've a few classic car photos and these posts got me looking at more detail at the hood ornaments. Found this site for id-ing. Obviously I can't vouch for accuracy but it does seem to be an enthusiast (despite the spelling in the link).

This hood ornament thing has really sparked some interest. I checked out the link above and found it loaded with info BUT I prefer this flickr group. Actual photos of hood ornaments...lots and lots of them. Fantastic photos. The
"quail" on old Fords, elephants on Bugatti's, the Indian head on Pontiacs and of course the old Cadillacs and loads more. I wish these things would come back but not the case due to safety concerns but they sure did add character.
