The contrast between Green and Orange made it for me too...The sharp eye contact, smooth bokeh and colour combination make this a really nice shot AFB. Well done.

No apologies necessary. These guys don't hang around for long, so well done. With apologies to AFB - I felt I had to enter the fray and try one for myself. This fly let me get pretty close; Nikon D7000 / Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 Macro.

I'll buy that, but the "Series 62" wasn't a year designation. It was built from 1947 to 1949.Definitely the caddie. 1962 Sedanet, it's the Cadillac Flying Lady See here:

Note to self: Next time pay attention to the car and not just the hood ornament!

I've a few classic car photos and these posts got me looking at more detail at the hood ornaments. Found this site for id-ing. Obviously I can't vouch for accuracy but it does seem to be an enthusiast (despite the spelling in the link).I'll buy that, but the "Series 62" wasn't a year designation. Very nice. The more the merrier. Awwww, I get it...double dwn, split them....Vegas baby, Vegas. Dang, stop interrupting me. I'm on page 63 of 113 on the Hood Ornament Flickr group I linked. This is addictive, kind of like binge watching a tv series (Sherlock).

Nice! quality classic motor! but hmm, someone needs to fix that paintwork and has the owner added the wings themselves? I thought the Austin Healey's badge was just the roundel?
