The squirrel was not to impressed with my jogging awhile back.

I visited three national parks last week, and now I have the task of picking a handful of standouts out of a couple thousand shots.

This is Grand Teton National Park, where everything is beautiful (even the fallen branches and logs I encountered on hikes looked almost strategically placed in their spots).

Can I move to that log cabin? What a beautiful place.

Lots going-on in this shot Ken. Great exposure, composition and...very sharp. :)

Nicely done.

Very sharp considering it wasn't a Nikon you mean? :D
Joking aside it is a lovely shot Ken.

So went to the Brecon Beacons yesterday in Wales with some friends. I was promised stunning views, but sadly the weather meant visibility was pretty poor for the most part. Anyway I'm not entirely happy with the shots I brought back (but photography was secondary to the purpose of the trip).

Went out and got myself a refurb. 7D2 . Figured it'd give me some more reach with my 100-400 . Made myself some time over the weekend to go down to the local landfill/Superfund site/environmental center to see what the combination could do . Tried to get some stuff in flight , but everything was just a bit too far out to get a good image . This guy was real cooperative , though .

Grr ... I despise these fur tailed rats after they demolished the insulation in the attic, and then dug through a flower bed that I just spent an afternoon planting.

I would use the kids air rifle on them, and the wood chuck under the shed who eats our tomatoes, the chipmunks who camp out in the cars, the rabbit that insists on munching on the flowers, the deer that use our yard as a rest stop as they go between wooded areas and the neighbors rooster that insists on crowing at 6 in the morning except my wife has threatened to rat me out to the cops if I do. :(

You have my sympathy . Send the wife and kids to the Poconos for the weekend , pick off the vermin while they're gone . I have similar problems with a flock of pigeons that have formed an attraction to my roof . I'd pick them off with my pellet gun , but they hang out on the street side of the house . My neighbors probably wouldn't say anything , but there's a bit too much street traffic for me to sit on the curb picking them off .
