It's July on the International Dateline. :)

Welcome to Photo of the Day. The POTD thread was started by iGary in May, 2006 and converted to a monthly thread in November 2007 by Arn. POTD is one of the most popular picture groups on MacRumors, often exceeding 500 posts and 20,000 views per month.

Photo of the Day is intended to be a showcase for your best pictures. There is no limit to your gear, just your imagination. P&S and film cameras are welcome along with DSLRs. There are no themes like the Weekly Contest, and no winners (or losers) either.

Policies

*One Photo per Day - Don't post more than one photo each day.

*Multi-Quote - To comment on several photos, click the "+ (Multi-Quote) button. This puts all your comments in one post. Multi-Quoting is required on all of the MacRumors forums.

*SFW (Safe for Work) only - This is a site - wide rule. If you wouldn't show it in a public place, then it's NSFW (not safe for work). Think before you post.

*Describe your photo - Tell what it is and where you took it. If you know the EXIF data of a photo, include it. The following EXIF fields are recommended: Camera, ISO, Focal Length, Shutter/Aperture and Lens.

Wherever I hang my hat...
But where's Moondancer (I think that was the name)?

Hopefully where she always is: bobbing up and down at the northern end of Lake Windermere. I'll be back up north in a fortnight and will check she's OK. :)

Co-operation...

The wooden staves are laid out on the shingle, to help get the heavy wooden boats (known as luggers) in and out of the water... as seafaring people have done for thousands of years...

Great pic,but with a little aperture adjustment, the depth of field could have been even less, making a more blurred background. When I do this kind of photography,I always use full manual settings and a tripod.

Taken with a 60mm macro lens at f/2.8 (maximum aperture), so unfortunately not much chance of better blurring ;)

Just a quick snap from the back garden from me today...Brand new camera has arrived and frustratingly can't get out to shoot on it!!

Careful! You'll get @kenoh all frothy at the mouth again :)

Cheers :)

Awesome camera absolutely in love...Cant decide whether to use the visoflex or not...(talk about first world problems huh!!)

Feels like a big upgrade from my M-E....not sure it is on paper....but it just feels like all the little improvements add up...favourites menu is great...all manual controls are there and just 3 buttons on the back which do what they say on the tin....quick iPhone pic below :)

This is beautiful. That color is awesome. I have a pinky orange dahlia in my garden this year (a lot more red than this pumpkin color here) that I cannot get a good photo of because the color is too saturated and the camera can't handle it. I love this one!
[doublepost=1498998892][/doublepost]My kids are 9 & 11 and swim year round. We are now in the heart of summer swim, and we spend the bulk of our summer days at the pool. This is just a phone photo (and I can't quite get the perspective right on this with all the lines), but the pool gets the best morning and evening light and I am sometimes dazzled by it.
