Ah, the proverbial Chevy small block in all it's glory. Can't beat'em. Apologize to the non petrol heads, a bit more "iron" to come. :)

Small relative to what? a Kenworth engine!?!? ha ha ha...

If you are posting iron... make sure it is quality iron!

seems to have all the elements for a selfie, the selfie stick, the pout, the peace symbol and a clueless friend.

what a composition. and that sky. Man, I never see a sky like that!

The sky gets nicer than that. I have been trying to capture the pink band it usually has at 6am in the morning but not managed to pull it out yet. Thank you very much though. Very kind of you.

My kids are 9 & 11 and swim year round. We are now in the heart of summer swim, and we spend the bulk of our summer days at the pool. This is just a phone photo (and I can't quite get the perspective right on this with all the lines), but the pool gets the best morning and evening light and I am sometimes dazzled by it.

View attachment 706899

Mine are 22 & 24 and this will be my daughter's last summer guarding - she's only missed one summer swim meet in the past 15 or 16 years and even then she was home sick in bed trying to get well enough for a synchro competition the following morning.

Summer at the pool swimming, diving, doing synchro and playing water polo was how my kids grew up and your comment a few weeks ago about not taking vacation until the end of the summer was spot on - we used to pack up the car for vacation the morning following synchro finals which was pretty much the last competition of the summer.

Really is great for them and yours are at a fun age.

Enjoy!

Wow! nice capture! especially like the tower to the right - sorry dont know the name of the building

Thanks very much Ken. The building is the CN Tower in Toronto. Built in 1975, it held the record for the world's tallest free standing structure (553 m) for 34 years. I believe it's now 9th.

One does not apologize for posting car photos. Take it easy on yourself mate. :p

BEAUTIFUL shot.
Beach shot from this morning. Bit upset to see this on the sand but guess it fell off a boat and washed ashore.

Terrific work on the tones in this shot. LOVE the purple and gold!

Snagged this while I was in Los Angeles for E3 a few weeks ago. A great view that my friend and I stumbled upon on the way down from the Griffith Observatory. :)

edit: Looks a little blurry scaled down -- feel free to follow the link to Flickr to see the sharper, full res image.

Thank you kindly. That is a lovely shot of LA. Hoping to experience it first hand in November.
