Thank you very much. I hope you immensely enjoy your time in LA. :)

My brother in law moved there from NY this year so hoping to go visit him on my annual US trip for work. Actually looking forward to it as not been to LA really before. Connected through it a few times back to london

Thanks for the support vOlume4. Here we go.

AMERICAAA! Yes! Wow, what a beauty. I wonder how much one of those Chevy's go for in mint conidition. Probably quite a bit. :p Were you at a show, or is that beauty yours, Zagato?
Inside one of the cellblocks at the Old Adelaide Gaol. Built in the mid 1800's it wasn't very hospitable and was quite dark, even with the flouro's on. It had the feeling of an old insane asylum.

Oof! I hope you weren't in that place alone! I don't see anyone else in the picture! :p

That is so awesome! Yes! I hope you get the chance to go and I hope that you really enjoy yourself. I'm no expert on the city, but let me know if you'd like some recommendations and I'll do my best. LA is such a MASSIVE (read, MASSIVE) city.
An experiment with motion blur at the beach on holiday.

Really interesting. Did you pan from left to right quickly while taking the shot? Just trying to figure out exactly what was going on here.

Heating on? It's lovely and warm here. Just watered the garden.

Well enjoy being back at work then!

12 degrees when we got back. 31 yesterday, 26 at 8am this morning so landing in 12 degrees and rain was a bit of a shock to the quote "hotdog legs"

So I had visions of a Mark Rothko kind of effect. I tried to pan quickly and got a few that I quite liked but they were not that smoothly done so the effect didnt work out for me. I got one a few weeks back of some reeds using a different tripod head and it worked pretty well that time. No such luck this time on the little tripod I had with me.

So I cheated and used Photoshop motion blur filter

I feel so dirty...

LA is exciting. Brother is in Hollywood hills somewhere living the dream apparently. I am the peasant family member stopping in to say hello on the way through.

Another creepy cellblock interior from the Old Adelaide Gaol, this one had its own built in hanging mechanism! All in all, nearly thirty folks (yes, women too!) were hung at this gaol for various offences. Their bodies are buried in the grounds between the exterior walls in unmarked graves, just a simple number on the wall identifies where they are.

I went as part of a group, but we got separated along the way, as I was a bit slow thinking about my framing of images etc... Got a bit spooky in places and I definitely had a few moments where the hairs on the back of my neck stood up!
