One of these guys smashed into the large window above our front door and was stunned for some time on the front porch. Fortunately, it recovered and retreated to a nearby tree where a sibling was perched

Yes. Left Orlando to escape the tourist…it didn’t work! It is an easy 100km day trip to Annecy from Switzerland where staying with daughter’s family.
It really is a lovely place, yes touristy but worth a day trip. Always recommended to our study abroad students and now with the expansion of the rail network in the region much easier to visit.
