We went out for a ride one Sunday during a review conference in Fairbanks and saw some of these friendly fellas. We stopped the car and they didn’t run. Furry Marmots, they like to have their picture taken.An old photo I took with the Canon 7D.

View out my bedroom window last evening. (Yes, it's taken through a window screen; don't come after me. 🤣 )
These were in the Pincher Creek Rose Garden. Hard to photograph because of all the chicken wire needed to protect them from the not so dear deer.

Yes, the tactile feeling touching the stone was surreal for me.
