You don't have to have an eye for photography - if you enjoy taking photos don't be afraid to post on the Photo Of the Day thread (bear in mind that it's the July thread you need as this one is June's).
The more photos you take the better your eye will become, believe me, and if you ask for advice you will get friendly and helpful comments.

Most things start as interest/appreciation for the subject. From there you can work at it and study—it’s especially good these days since there are a few friendly forums out there (like here) to learn from. I didn’t know my head from my aperture a few years ago.
