I've driven through here several times. It's been a few years; I'm surprised this is still standing. Such a quaint little area.

It is quaint. Not too many of them left around here. 60 to 70 people a day coming to this area.

You used to live here? Been here for 21 years now, and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Retired Navy and been all over the US, and this is the best place I have ever lived. Originally from upstate NY(Binghamton), but between FL, VA, and NC, I have lived a majority of my adult life in the South.

There is a bike trail near where y mom lived that has a long section of this type of trail. Those boards get very slick when wet. It's a learning experience riding on that, and can imagine walking on it could be too.

I had hoped MR had an astrophotography forum, but I couldn't find one, so...
Former school building in the abandoned ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada. Canon 6D MkII, Irix 15mm f/4 lens, 16 exposures stacked in the StarStaX app. Each exposure 30 sec. @ F/4, ISO 1000. Painted with light using a red LED flashlight in some of the exposures.

Misc Astrophotography (Shoot the ISS, etc) besides moon shots...

For those curious about looking up, this site will show you passovers of various "stuff" up there to shoot. http://www.heavens-above.com/ I thought it might be neat to have a "Misc Astrophotography (Shoot the ISS, etc) besides moon shots..." thread, and see how creative some other members shots...
