When I was working on the Army Hospital in Tacoma, I saw the 737's during their testing phase.
You will find this very interesting:

Of course this was before they put all the seats and other heavy stuff in it.

I was flying back and forth to my home in upstate NY on a regular basis. On one flight home I looked out the window at the wing of an 737 and it was spotless. No footprints, no grease marks, engines were pristine. I asked the pilot on the way out if this was a new plane, he said they had just put it into service that week.
If it was Delta, they probably were trying to cancel the flight in mid-air :p

Flew American. I remember thinking what a fantastic looking plane when I saw the first the 737 Dreamliner before it was put into service. So many innovative design features. Too bad about their software problems that grounded it for so long.

Check out the two tier sidewalk in Edinburgh! View attachment 2021912
Years ago we toured England by car. My favorite city was Chester, which had the two tiered sidewalks. Peasants on the street level and the upper crust shopped on the second tier, dropped off by their carriages. Chester had 365 pubs at one time, and a wall all around the city. Our guide told us about how one of the Kings declared all new wood was to be used to support his military, so when one of his ships came into port, the inspectors would have beams declared unfit and had to be replaced with new ones, that's how they got the wood for all the pubs by using the removed beams, which were perfectly good!

Last one from Upnor Castle - if we had these in 1667 there wouldn’t have been such damage to the English fleet ;)

Sorry about that!! Your fleet burned nicely! ( as a penance I added fire extinguishers to photo's. I see that you can do it on your own nowadays)

For those as history impaired as I am: history lesson
