Thanks -- I was surprised I was able to get that close, as well. I was about 4 meters away when it flew in and was able to move in slowly. This morning, I got to within 1-1.5 meters of one, but didn't have my camera with me.
I like the angled view in the second image, although I agree with Doylem that either would be enhanced by more interesting light.

That's not to say that it still isn't the OP's photo though. Looking at the Flickr photo stream that it comes from would suggest someone who lives in Malaysia and is 18 years old, which this guy does and is apparently.
