This bird was flying back and forth from my deck to a bush across from me. Wanting to get a photo if it, I put a little piece of bread out on the ledge. I waited with my camera for about 15 minutes. Snapped the photo as soon as it grabbed the bread. If it appears soft, it's because I shot it through a screen door.

Not a good idea to feed sparrows bread. Some seeds would be better.

We have 30+ live in our garden.

Just looking at those cars parked that close to the edge of the canal makes me nervous.

Of course if you are going to live there then you just have to get used to it. But still.

Oh, are these right-hand drives (I wouldn't think so) or do people just scoot over and get out on the passenger side?

You should see them parking the cars! balls of steel! No way I would try it yet they nip in and out of the spaces right next to the edge. If the steering wheel was on the correct side, they would be into the water when getting out!
[doublepost=1522351889][/doublepost]Short trip to Sweden this week. Walking in the park and the lake is frozen over. Saw this guy fishing.

A composited piece for a volleyball player. Shot under natural light at my studio where east-facing and south-facing windows meet near a corner of the room.

A really nicely put together image, she exudes a lot of determination. To me, she looks more roller-derby than volleyball, because of the jeans and the black face marks.

Awesome photo!

Thanks!

Well, up at 5am local time, into the -5 degree cold - very bracing. I was tired until I walked outside instantly woke up!

Managed to catch the sunrise over the lake next to Haga (Royal) Park in Solna.

Sunrise is my favourite time to shoot, but I think -5 would change my mind. Great shot though.

Evening walk. Local school, seen from below.
I must go back to shoot some wide angle.

I like that a lot!

Worth the effort. I rolled out of bed at 7, saw it was a nice morning and wished I'd made the effort. However it's due to rain from lunchtime until Monday when it's going to snow!

Interesting spot.

It's a spot that asks for further investigation and experiments. Here it is from the a distance (not my photo)

As I've been ill with a bit of a cold I though I'd take the bus to work yesterday so I finally got round to testing my Samyang Fisheye I picked up the other week. Quite impressed to be honest.
