You finally got one to open! It's been cold here, so ours are still waiting to pop.

Not quite all the way open yet; yesterday and today have been chilly so it might not be until Monday or Tuesday that at least a few are fully opened so that we can see the white interior and the center "innards." I so love these beautiful flowers and their delightful scent! I am really, really happy to see many more buds on the trees this year, as a couple of years ago bad weather really decimated them and it seems to be only now this spring that at least a couple of them are really showing signs of recovering and "springing back" from that.

Yeah, they are a bit of a gamble of a tree in more northern climates. They like to break dormancy early, so the late spring cold snaps will usually get them every time. I had one in my yard at my last house, and it got zapped one year and died back several feet. They are still a tough tree and usually bounce back—they just look a little ugly for a while. Hope this year we keep above freezing!

Today's reality in the grocery store: empty egg/dairy products shelves, empty paper goods shelves, almost-empty soups shelves.....totally empty pasta shelves! This photo shows the paper goods shelves. I think the employee was actually cleaning them, too -- a good opportunity since they were empty anyway. Another employee was doing the same in the pasta section. Fortunately for me, I am well-stocked on paper goods and on pasta!

Same here, but there will be a point where toilet roll etc. will be needed.
Then what?

Cheers :)

I would think that the shelves will be replenished soon, but yes, the toilet paper industry will have to keep cranking it out! Presumably the people who rushed out and bought 90 rolls or whatever will have plenty for a while and maybe in the interim other people can get it as they need it.....

I was actually able to buy a package today. There were 4-5 packages left on the shelves, and some people were standing there weighing their options. I grabbed the biggest option and moved on!
