so fun! congratulations.Scratching an itch. We’ll see if it sticks. Found the body and lens for a deal I couldn’t pass up at usedphotopro. I can’t tell if either have even been used before.

I have this camera body and 4 lenses. Two zooms and two primes. It’s my only kit.Scratching an itch. We’ll see if it sticks. Found the body and lens for a deal I couldn’t pass up at usedphotopro. I can’t tell if either have even been used before.

Yeah, I’ve been wanting to try the “retro” experience for a while now. Dedicated dials, “choose your film roll,” classic body style. One thing I’ve noticed is that there is quite a bit more ISO freedom here versus M43. The 35mm f2 is basically the same as the 25mm f1.4 on M43 in terms of DOF at any given distance. With M43, I can get around low light with slower shutter speeds, often ridiculously so, because IQ really starts to suffer above ISO 3200-6400. With the Fuji, I have to crank up ISO since there’s no IBIS, but 12800 and even 25600 aren’t too bad!I have this camera body and 4 lenses. Two zooms and two primes. It’s my only kit.
It’s a great camera, but it does take a little time to adapt to the Fuji way of things.
Yes, I see you use an X-T2 with good success!Great ? camera

Handheld at 1s isn’t much of a problem with an E-M1.3. Even 8-10s handheld is possible if you’re really steady. That ain’t happening with the X-T3, but I can see the X-T3 having an advantage where freezing motion is necessary. I’ve been lurking Fuji for a while now, and I went through the manual while it was on the way here. I like knobs, buttons and dials, which was part of the appeal. We’ll see if I decide to stick with it.
What lenses do you have? I have a relatively short wish list if I stick with it. 10-24, 70-300, and maybe the 16-55 and another prime or two.

Yeah, it would seem you just have to get on a waiting list for it. The lack of availability of that lens has one has prevented me from moving on this sooner, but it was a really good deal on the combo, so I thought, what the heck.23 f2

I’d like the new 70-300, but there are none available - anywhere.
This one doesn’t bother me, honestly. 3:2 should be better for 4x6 and 5x7 prints, where on 4:3, you have to decide what gets cropped. I don’t print a lot, but when I do, I always have to be mindful of that when I place an order! You will be going from 4:3 to 3:2
